The Microsoft Xbox 360 is well known for it's digital service, Xbox Live. You can purchase games, downloadable content, premium content such as themes and icons, and even buy your Avatar new clothes with Microsoft Points. It's becoming a necessity to have Microsoft Points if you plan on getting the most enjoyment as you can out of your Xbox 360. In the US, Microsoft Points cost $1.25 per 100 points. Then, log onto the Rewards website, and head to the Offers section. Then click Free Offers. Offers are surveys you do, and you get points on the Reward site for every offer you do. You can use these points to get prizes offered on the Rewards site. So all you need to do is do enough offers until you get the amount of points required to get Free Microsoft Points. So you need to get 20 points from doing surveys.

After you've gotten 20 points, head over to the Rewards section. Then to the last page of the Xbox 360 subsection, and click request next to the 1600 Xbox 360 Microsoft Points. You will then get the Free Microsoft Points emailed to you within 1 - 2 days.

Xbox Live Arcade Prices Rising

A study has recently shown that the Xbox Live Arcade Prices Rising is something that's actually happening. In this case, getting Free Microsoft Points like I showed you in a previous article would be beneficial, so this raise in Microsoft Points cost wouldn't effect you. But over the time span of the Xbox 360's life, the price of the Xbox Live Arcade Games have shot up to an average of 800 Microsoft Points. You're not crazy if you're thinking that your Xbox 360 games are costing you more. Read on to find out more and read speculation on the rise of Xbox Live Arcade Prices.

The first month of the Xbox 360's release, the average price for an XBLA game was under 600 points. Now for those of you who don't know, that's a pretty amazing price tag. You can't even get DLC these days under 600 Microsoft Points. Compared to the average Xbox Live Arcade game of today, the price tag has now risen to an average of about 700 Microsoft Points now. That may not be that much of a jump, but it's significant and the prices are steadily on the rise as we speak. The prices of the Xbox Live Arcade games being released this summer are likely to raise the average once more.

Microsoft has a promotion going on where they advertise and promote some of the new high tier Xbox Live Arcade titles to be coming to the Xbox 360 console. 4 out of the 5 games apart of the promotion have a price tag of 1200 Microsoft Points. The factors of pricing are likely to be looked at here. AS the games apart of the promotion are by top companies and are highly awaited. Like Shadow Complex, a game that is said to rival the popular franchise Metroid. It's no surprise that games of this caliber would be sold for 1200 Microsoft Points, but it still raises the average a bit. I'm personally not looking forward to the day when all you see for the Xbox Live Arcade titles is all the games priced at 1000+ Microsoft Points.

The 1200 price tag for Xbox Live Arcade titles is happening more and more, and all you can do is sit back and take it. If you're the generic gamer that only plays multiplayer games, this doesn't effect you. But if you're an active Xbox Live Arcade browser, then this is bad news. You're going to have to start paying more for your Xbox Live titles. Which is why I recommend you get Free Microsoft Points like I showed you in my first post, so check it out.

So once you've redeemed your Microsoft Points code, you can now buy content from the Xbox Live Market place.Content over the market place have costs from anywhere between 500 - 2000+ microsoft points. So here is some good content to take a look at.

If you're new to the market place, the first thing you should take a look at is the Xbox Live Arcade, assuming you have the microsoft points ready. This is a collection of games released to Xbox Live available for purchase, these are full games, usually in the form of 2d games. Some games you should take a look at are Alien Hominid, Castle Crashers and Geometry Wars. Those are all some of the top games the Xbox Live Arcade has to offer. They cost under the price range of your 2000 Microsoft Points that you should have.

The demo's available in the Market Place are actually free, so you wouldn't need to spend money on them. It's good if you just want to test a game that you might want to buy sometime in the future. Another good thing to spend your Free Microsoft Points on is the Xbox Live Originals. Those are the successful games of the previous original Xbox, that you'll be able to purchase for around 2000 microsoft points. Yeah, full games that you'll be able to download, this is perfect those of you who have the Xbox 360 and skipped the original Xbox.

Besides that, some good extra's will be the premium content that the xbox live market place has to offer. If you don't know why you're in Sith Stalker armor, then you need to go back to the first game and finish it. The DLC will be able to recognize what choice you made during the end of the game.
